Upcoming November Summit Snow Riderz Meeting

5.30-6pm at MotoBreck followed by a FREE Avalanche Information Seminar with Mike Duffy!

Please note our change in time and venue for our Club meeting this month only. Join us this Tuesday for a quick meeting followed by a very informative talk on avalanche safety with Mike Duffy. I have been driving to Granby with my son to listen to him talk so thank you to Lee Dolan at MotoBreck for bringing him to Summit County. Mike has been traveling around the country this fall giving talks which are now snowmobile specific and he is a wealth of information.

FUNDRAISER PARTY

Saturday Nov 23rd - ELKS LODGE, Silverthorne - 5.30-8.30pm - Dinner and Boondockers 16 Movie Included $20pp - PRIZES!!!
Come mingle with Matt Entz and our local pros Adam and Kim Onasch who are attending.

This is a very important fund raising night for us and your help in any way is much appreciated. We need prize items to raffle off and any larger $$$ items will be sold via a silent auction. Prizes, anything and gift certificates, please bring any items you have so far to this Tuesday's meeting to Carolanne or you can drop items to my place of work on Main St, Frisco if that's more convenient. Can one more person volunteer to help take entry fees the night of the party? Trish, Lauren and Rachel are going to help with the front but perhaps one more person would be good? I am going to have a table to renew Club memberships as it will be a good opportunity to get some new memberships and renew existing. We currently have around 50 club memberships. It would be great to increase that number to 60 this year! With our new name that is more inclusive of snow bikers, please encourage any snow biking friends and acquaintances to join us at the party and become a member too.

RAFFLE TICKETS

For those of you who took raffle tickets at the last meeting to sell, a reminder that all monies and raffle ticket stubs must be given to Carolanne by Tuesday December 10th (which is our December meeting night!). If you weren't able to be at the meeting and would like some tickets to sell, you can get some from Carolanne at this Tuesday's meeting. $5 per ticket to win an Articat Alpha, $1,000 Klim clothing gift certificate too! All sales have a proportion of money that comes directly to our club.

SNOW CAT/GROOMER

Our new Snowcat/groomer really needs a new Tiller at a cost of $4,000. The current one has been repaired so its usable but the repair wont last. I have asked Devin Ailport, our friend and New Club Member, to look into a grant to cover the cost of a new one from Climax Mine (where he works). Climax Mine gives grants to the community and he kindly offered to look into applying for one for us.

Thank you to you all for supporting our Club, Summit Snow Riderz for the upcoming riding season. Let it snow...
